# EdenChat — Detailed information > AI character chat platform — create your own character and start a conversation. EdenChat is a platform where users create their own characters and chat with them through AI. Explore Works and Characters across genres and enjoy immersive roleplay conversations. --- ## Platform overview On EdenChat, creators build a Work and place Characters inside it to offer AI conversations. Each Work has its own setting, genres, and tags, and features multiple Characters. ### Core concepts - **Work**: a single setting or scenario. Has a title, description, genres, tags, and a cover image - **Character**: an AI conversation partner that lives inside a Work. Personality, appearance, and background are configurable - **Creator**: a user who builds Works and Characters - **Chat**: an AI-driven roleplay conversation between a user and a Character --- ## Key features ### Character creation and customization Creators set a Character's name, personality, appearance, and backstory. Each Character has its own profile image and can hold relationships with other Characters in the same Work. ### AI chat Conversations run on multiple AI models (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) and stay in character, following each Character's personality and configuration. ### Multimedia generation - **Image generation**: the AI can generate images mid-conversation - **Voice generation (TTS)**: per-character voice output via ElevenLabs - **Video generation**: AI-generated short clips ### Search and discovery Works and Characters are searchable by genre, tag, creator name, title, and description. --- ## Popular works (top 30) - **마.
